Founded in 2017, we started a mission to provide the best customer service and freight experience for our clients. Combined with our years of industry knowledge and select team we have rapidly grown to be the largest agency for Priority1 Inc in the USA.
Hailing from Sacramento, CA, Mike Lahey is one of the founders and owners of Gold Coast Logistics. Since 2015, Mike has been a noteworthy leader in the freight industry through his work with GCL.
Mike has been honored for his contributions to the freight industry such as being named “Top Gun” sales representative as well as gaining notoriety in 2015 for reaching National Platinum Membership as a freight/logistics broker. Mike holds a degree in business from Chapman University, where he made waves as an undergrad-linebacker and now as a football coach. When he’s not managing his freight-team or procuring solutions for his clients, Mike avidly cheers for the Las Vegas Raiders from his home in Orange County, Ca.
John Mebane grew up in Los Angeles, Ca, and eventually graduated from the University of La Verne where he excelled in football and studied Political Science and Government.
Those who have worked with John know him for his effort to empower those around him and his results-oriented mindset. John manages a team of brokers, service and procurement specialists in daily tasks of order fulfillment, relationship management initiatives, as well as ensuring maximum service levels fall in line with the customers’ expectations.
In addition to being one of the founders and owners of GCL, John has a dynamic personality and spends his personal time golfing, fishing, hiking as well as traveling with his wife, Arielle. John is also an enthusiastic Reggae and AfroBeats admirer and he enjoys sharing his interests with his friends and family.
Meghan Purdy joined Gold Coast Logistics in 2018, as Vice President and lead operations specialist. Prior to working for GCL, Meghan worked at competing freight/logistics companies where she amassed knowledge and developed her skills and professionalism. Meghan’s extensive experience has augmented her ability to develop creative strategies to meet the needs of her clients within a fast-paced and ever-changing industry.
Meghan spent her childhood and adolescence in Laguna Hills, CA, though eventually moving out of state and graduating from the University of Kansas where she studied Digital Design and English. Meghan currently resides in Texas with her four-legged-pal, Cash. When she is not keeping busy with operations, you might find her two-stepping to country music, singing along at concerts or spending time with family.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Hunter Larry eventually situated himself in Texas where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from the University of Texas at Arlington. Hunter’s adept knowledge and experience navigating information systems has afforded him with powerful insight into data analytics and technology application.
Hunter has worked in many roles within the logistics industry since he started in 2015, including freight brokering and managing employees and drivers, to his current position as Director of Truckload operations at GCL.
In his free time, Hunter can be found serving his community as a dedicated children’s welfare advocate, responsible for supporting victims of abuse. Hunter is a frequent concert-goer who loves playing golf and caring for his Doberman, Bruce.
